Post after the jump, dont want too much drama. Have some Lotuses (Loti?) in the snow.
But does anyone else find it weird that two websites, who almost never post Social Justice click bait, both post articles dabbling into that category within hours of each other? Both !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! and !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! had articles dealing with race and sex issues that at their core have fairly massive factual errors, incredibly bias stances, and important material for the other side of the issue left out. Just seems a bit fishy. But thats just me. Maybe I just have a distorted view cause I dont want this kind of srs bsns in my car lols. Who knows...

Well, they're relevant to the sites and they address important issues. It can't always be ruled off as click bait. Both situations are fucked up and that's what matters here.

It all goes back to the Illuminati and if you look closely at the pyramids within the dollar bills you see... a Maybach driven by Jay-Z!! The New Automotive Order has been forming this plan since the early 60s in their effort to kill the manual and take control of the sheepcars.

The 9/11 attack conspiracy theories exist to draw attention away from the real 911 conspiracy

Dude, I've posted this before. It's all a conspiracy. Even the snow. Believe nothing.

That being said both articles have been ripped to shreds by the readers of both websites. Yes, the issues are important but to you need to make sure what you are saying is factually correct when going into these subjects.

Ah, I didn't actually read either of them beyond the title and the preview. If they're not even completely true, then yeah, that's a bit of an issue.

Not seeing the problem with either article.
The kotaku article ridicules the outrage associated with just ASKING whether or not a game set in the middle ages should be exclusively white. The real middle ages were not exclusively white. It's a valid question to ask. If your only reaction to a level-headed question is detonation and ridicule of the other party 1) step awaaaaay from the keyboard, cowboy 2) reassess your priorities in life, as they are clearly fucked. The article ridicules this and since that kind of behavior is fully worthy of ridicule, I don't see the problem there.
The second article points out that the person running GM is now making slightly less than the person who has only an advisory role. What? Never mind who/what these two people are and think about that for a moment. An assistant manager at a Walmart has more responsibility than Ackerman does to GM now. He is just an advisor. If shit hits the fan (again...) Its going to be the management team who will face the Axe, not him. Its going to be the management team who decides which direction the company should go. They have to execute, while he sits back and gives advice. How is it that someone now with less responsibility and actual work to do should make more than everyone else, including the chief executive? That's rediculous. We wouldn't know any of this if GM weren't a publicly traded company...but they are. So its a worthy point of discussion.
Another worthy point of discussion is the fact that a woman is likely to make less than a man doing the same damn job in many areas of the economy. And that sucks. Your race/religion/gender/sexuality/whatever should not play a role in how you are compensated for your work. Put X work in, get Y pay out. It should work that way, but it doesn't, and that sucks. What valid argument is there for the usage of irrelevant information about a person to determine how they are ultimately paid? People are paying attention now to issues like this more than ever in the post 2k8 economy. It's a bad look for GM to pay their advisor more than the person charged with running the organization, even with that issue aside, and they should have known that.

"I didn't actually read either of them beyond the title" —> That's what the perpetually-offended, professional-victim crowd count on.

She, with no executive experience, in her first year, is being paid slightly less in salary than he, the CEO of multiple prior companies, made in *total* compensation (her long term package hasn't been announced), in his final year as both CEO and Chairman.
And the "women are paid less" meme has been debunked so many times even leftwing mags like Slate admit it. Once you control for men going into more dangerous, math-based, night shift, and long hour jobs, and women preferring work-life balance, taking more sick days and time off, and having more breaks in their work history, the difference disappears.
Women in the same jobs working the same hours tend to make about the same as men (as Adam Smith dictates, otherwise some greedy bastard ambivalent to your cause would make a killing hiring exclusively cheaper-but-equally effective women/minorities/[insert victim group]).
